How does Nitro Tapp work?
Simply stated, add cold brew coffee (or your beverage of choice), add 2 nitrogen (N2) cartridges or 1 nitrous oxide cartridge, place in fridge for 1 hour, enjoy your delicious nitro coffee, nitro tea, nitro cocktail or nitro beverage of choice. The possibilities are endless!
Can I make nitro drinks other than nitro coffee?
With Nitro Tapp, you can make Nitro Tea, Nitro Cocktails, Nitro Juice, Nitro Water and just about anything you can image. Adding silky smooth nitro will spice up just about any beverage. Creative new nitro drink ideas are part of the fun.
If you use a (CO2) cartridge, instead of Nitro, you can make carbonated beverages such as soda water and carbonate beer (that has not been pre-carbonated).
Should I use nitrogen or nitrous oxide cartridges?
We recommend trying both Nitrogen (N2) & Nitrous Oxide (N2) cartridges. Both making amazing nitro coffee.
Nitrogen (N2) cartridges offer a silky, smooth & longer lasting cream, cascade & head. The pour is similar to a Guinness Stout. This is our choice of nitro as it replicates the nitro coffee from a commercial grade tap.
Nitrous Oxide (N2) cartridges offer a foamier head & a slightly sweeter flavor. The head does not last as long as (N2) but if you love foam, this is a fun choice.
How long does nitro coffee last?
Once coffee is poured into to the keg and nitrogen has been added, the coffee has a 1-2 week shelf life (much longer than traditional coffee) inside the keg.
Nitro coffee is so delicious you will probably drink it before 2 weeks anyway!
